Basketball Game

Ava had fun at Soren's third basketball game. She got to sit in the Daddy chair and decorate his jeans with drool. She stores it in those giant cheeks. See how much she looks like her Daddy!

Ava and Baba

Ava tried hard to get her hands on those shiny fish, but Baba had a good grip on her. She was mesmerized.

Peggy!

Ava started day care Monday, February 5th. She loves Peggy.

Ava & Dr. Kuhls

Ava met Dr. Kuhls at her 2 month checkup. She knew something was amiss. Notice the complete lack of trust on her little face.

Month 2

Today you are 2 months old, and you are growing way too fast. You have 2 chins, huge pudgy cheeks, and chubby legs and arms. You smile at everyone who talks to you, and try so hard to talk back. You especially like singing, whistling, your crib mobile, your swing, and ceiling fans. You aren't quite yet reaching and grabbing for toys, but you like looking at them.

You usually fall asleep around 8 or 9pm, and sleep in your crib until 2 or 3am. Then you wake up just enough to eat some more and sleep again in our bed, which we call the "Cave". When you wake up at 7 or 8am, you spend a great deal of time squirming around, grunting, and usually pooping. Then we unwrap your Kiddopotamus and free your arms so you can stretch and smush them into your cheeks and make the Squidgy Wakeup Face. Then you are very excited to discover that you are in the Cave with an avid audience. You talk and smile, wave your arms and kick your legs.

You seem to be crying less now. You pull on your ears when you get tired. Your Mom and Dad are much better at figuring out what you need, and Soren sings you lots of songs when you get fussy.

You have your 2 month check up on Thursday, and will get several immunizations. They will probably hurt us more than they hurt you. Daddy weighed you today and you were 13 pounds. You are growing big and strong.

Tomorrow you start day care at Peggy's house. Your Mom is going to have a hard time leaving you there to go to work, but you will have fun playing with the other kids. Peggy will hold you and sing you songs and read you books. Mom and Dad will call you every hour.

We love you so much! We already can't remember what life was like before you came. We try not to brag too much, but you are a wonderful baby girl!
