Please stop growing, Junie! You are going too fast! You turned 7 months old yesterday. You are crawling fast, talking fast, eating fast, and trying to walk! You like to stand up all the time and sometimes don't even hang onto furniture. You cruise around a little bit. We put the coffee table away after the 5th time you bumped your head on it. You like to stand at the gate and in your crib and shake the bars until we let you out. You sit like a pro. You think you can swim, but it's not true yet.
You grew a tooth on June 22nd, but I don't think you use it very much. You like to eat everything! You tried most of the baby food options, rice cereal, oatmeal, cereal puffs, teething biscuits... Now you've moved on to bits of whatever we're eating, and if we don't share, you squeal. You especially like rice, pieces of bread, and tiny bits of noodles. Anything with flavor. We gave you a pizza bone one time, and couldn't get it back. You started having formula once or twice a day, and you like that just fine. You had 3 teeny bites of Rusty's Frozen Custard last night for your birthday, and every time we tried to hide the cup (object permanence?) you screamed for more and dove head first for the lost treat.
Your hair is growing really long and you are learning how to laugh. You gesture when you babble by smacking things repeatedly. We think you might have signed "milk" a few times. Your favorite activity is getting into forbidden objects and wrecking things. You especially like knocking down cup towers that Soren builds and ripping paper in a frenzy. We bought you a new Cabbage Patch baby and you like to give her kisses (translation: "try to eat her head"). You enjoy sitting in buckets and listening to Soren on the phone.
Every day with you is so wonderful! We fight over who gets to pick you up out of the crib in the mornings - it's such a treat to peek in your room and see your grinning face poking out over the top of the rail while you stand on your chubby legs. We hope you're always this happy and sweet.
